We in the R&D Department are proud of Tomita's flexible systems. Our company specializes in manufacturing products tailed to clients' needs. If a client requires some particular product characteristics, we can meet their demands in about half the time required by large bulk producers. To achieve that, research and, especially, development of materials and processes are crucial. Though we have a 110-year history, we researchers are young (in our mid-thirties on average), qualified (Masters and Ph. Ds) and keen. We value our flat, non-bureaucratic structure inside Tomita, permitting the free expression and support of ideas from anyone, along with our close, interdepartmental communication. In any one week you can find Tomita researchers visiting clients, working in the lab and participating in the production process. We share research projects with universities and other research institutions, publishing papers and taking out patents every year.
